Grand Palais of the Champs-Élysées
Paris, France - 2012
×
The Grand Palais was built in 1900 for the universal exhibition. Closed in 1993, our task was to renew the façades and to make the foundations conform.
We re-established the original rhythm of the glass-roof and sought a transparency that had disappeared. Offering a new vision of the building where « freedom » is the key, the interiors are adapted to the evolutionary needs of the users, recalling the original idea: to welcome the numerous exhibitions, both envisaged and unforeseen.
